Extreme Couponing
Reduce Misredemption and Fraud in the Coupon Industry
ProLogic reports that retailers are updating their coupon policies or instituted new policies in response to "extreme couponers" who threaten to disrupt retailers' operations by tying up checkout lines and clearing store shelves.

A coupon redemption program through American Coupon Services is available to all retailer members of the Wisconsin Grocers Association.
American Coupon Services (ACS) will provide WGA members the following coupon service for an agreed-upon fee:
- Count and sort coupons submitted by WGA members
- Submit those coupons for payment to the manufacturer.
- Provide checks to the retailer for payment of coupons.
- Checks will read ‘American Coupon Services’.
- Checks will be mailed in 48 days from receipt in St. Louis, MO.
- Research and provide strategy for chargebacks.
- Maintain and administer security deposits as required.
- Maintain coupon files.
- Provide members data.
American Coupon Services recommends that:
- WGA members contact Sarah Decorah at the WGA office (888) 342-5942 or sdecorah@wisconsingrocers.com, if interested in the WGA Coupon Program.
- Coupons can be mailed to: 5431 Chippewa, St. Louis, MO 63109 at member’s expense.
- Postage for mailing of checks to retailers and shipping charges will be the responsibility of ACS.
To be eligible for this service, the store must be a WGA dues-paying member. Need more information?
